“I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend.”

J.R.R. Tolkien,

The Two Towers

Simplicity and functionality combine the aesthetic with the practical

I forge, because I am passionate about making knives.

Making one of the absolutely elemental tools in the human repertoire is a meditative process, combing complex realms of imagination and planning that go into the design, with some of the most enjoyable manual work in making manifest, what had just been nothing more than a specter of thought.

Heat and Power create Grace and Strength

About the Smithy

Located in the mountainous south of Switzerland I take inspiration from the harsh winters and the beautiful summers; the jagged and merciless peaks and the soft rolling meadows below.

Life goes in cycles of constant decay and renewal. This serves as a reminder of the passing of time and the flow of events. A good knife stands as a timeless sentinel in the ebb and tide of life, ever useful ever sharp.
